May 22, 2020 - Bay Area Optimization Meeting
The Sixth Bay Area Optimization will be hosted at University of California, Berkeley on May 22, 2020. The event will take place at the Hewlett Packard Auditorium (306 Soda Hall). The meeting will bring together leaders in optimization, variational analysis, and applications. Several lectures by experts in the field will describe state-of-the-art models and algorithms as well as real-world applications from public and private sectors.

The University of California, Berkeley welcomes you to join Bay Area schools in the 2nd Annual Bay Area Decision Sciences Summit hosted by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
Teams of interdisciplinary students will derive insights from a real word data set and present findings to corporate representatives. All experience levels are welcome! There will be workshops geared toward beginners introducing popular data analytics tools including Python (Jupyter Notebook) and Excel, and an open panel of industry experts.
The event is free to the public and lunch will be provided. Even without competing, there is a lot to learn from the workshops!
